The Stillmore Solar project is a 1.0-megawatt (MW) utility-scale installation located on eight acres of leased farmland in rural Candler County, Georgia.
The ground-mounted project utilizes 3,222 JA Solar solar panels, one SMA inverter, and an RBI ground-mount racking system.
Completed in January 2015, the installation generates over 1.5 million kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity per year. This production prevents the annual release of over 1,000 tons of carbon dioxide from non-renewable power plants and powers approximately 100 local homes.
This project was completed as a part of the Georgia Power Advanced Solar Initiative, a utility program to encourage the development of clean, green, renewable power.
